Christoph Schindler, born in Erlangen in 1973, studied architecture at TU Kaiserslautern and received his doctorate from ETH Zurich. After professional experience in architecture (MGF architects Stuttgart, Marble Fairbanks New York, MVRDV Rotterdam) and co-founding Design-to-Production GmbH, he began concentrating on the smaller scale of product design. Since 2005 he has been a partner at schindlersalmerón in Zurich, responsible for product development with a focus on contract furniture and individual pieces.
Christoph gained teaching experience through a CAS in University Didactics at the Zurich University of Teacher Education, PHZH, and numerous workshops, including several at ETH Zurich, NTNU Trondheim, Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Design and KADK in Copenhagen. From 2010 to 2014 he lectured design at the Department of Architecture at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, ZHAW. Since 2014 he has headed the Object Design Programme at the Lucerne School of Art and Design.
