With the new printing device, printing/copying/scanning is now only possible with your own HSLU card.
In total, there are 80 workplaces with power sockets available. They cannot be booked in advance and are restricted to silent working.
There are various workplaces available for quiet learning, as are some large desks, a sofa corner, window workplaces and standing desk spaces. The library does not provide space for group work! It is possible to work in front of the library in the break area or outside lunchtime in House B in the self-catering area (2nd floor) & bistro (Ground floor). For our students the walk-in space on the 2nd floor (House A) and the project workstations on the 4th floor (House B) are also available.
Thanks to the “Roominfo", you can always check if there are any free places - and how many there are - in your library. It also provides an overview of all ZHB locations, including a map of the library.
You can find lockers in House A and use them without having to sign up anywhere. Students who did not bring their own padlock may get one for a deposit from the reception desk on the ground floor.
Your HSLU card serves as a copy card. You need this to print out print jobs, print from a flash drive, to copy or to scan.
The document must be saved as a PDF or JPEG file. To do this, please select ‘Gerätezugriff’ on the printer after scanning your HSLU-Card.
You can find manuals for myprint.hslu.ch here (HSLU login necessary):
To scan you need your own HSLU card. You may save your scan on a flash drive or send it to yourself via email.
A mobile book scanner is available in the copy room, which can be used free of charge and without borrowing. A notebook with the appropriate software (see explanatory video) is required to use it. To install the software, you should ideally have administrator rights for your notebook. Alternatively, you can also use one of our loan notebooks on which the software is already pre-installed. You can find more detailed information on installing the software and using the book scanner in our instructions.
