*In degree programs, your primary contact is the module coordinator and your secondary contact the head of program. In continuing education programs, the head of program is your contact for questions around teaching content and the program administration for organizational matters.
** In some cases (e.g., short assignments) different rules may apply. If you are unsure whether you are eligible for the benefits listed, please contact your supervisor. In the case of continuing and executive education, it is typically the external heads of program who are eligible for the benefits.
Exceptions
Certain in-house events are restricted to employees with a regular contract, including:
- School seminar
- Employee information meetings
- Brown bag events
- Christmas dinner
- Summer event

You will be paid per lesson at a rate agreed in your contract. To charge the HSLU for services rendered, you must complete the fee form and submit it to the relevant office (bachelor’s and master's programs/continuing and executive education).
As an expert in your field, you have valuable skills and knowledge to share with students or participants in continuing education programs.
A certificate in university teaching is an asset, but not a requirement. Upon consultation, you may also attend an in-house continuing education program.
To teach in a degree program, you will typically need an MSc or MA.
