Fuel cells operate quietly, efficiently and without local emissions. A particularly promising application of this new technology is the UPS. Different national and international research and demonstration projects have been realized in this field in the last few years.
One focus is the implementation and analysis of laboratory and field tests. The measuring equipment is installed on the base stations and power failures are then simulated remotely. Projects are carried out in close cooperation with manufacturers and users.
The main focuses of the evaluations are the operating behavior and reliability of the systems as well as the degree of product maturity with which user requirements are covered.
