It is a clear objective of the Swiss government to stop the continuous rise in energy consumption and to increase the share of renewable energy sources in order to achieve the energy transition goals. This necessitates the development of efficient and sustainable thermal energy supply systems such as district heating for public buildings or private households. The research group TEVT supports the development and optimization of thermal energy supply and storage systems, taking into account the dynamics of cyclic processes, energy generation and consumption, as well as the profitability of the overall system.
