Borrowing Print Media

Prerequisite for borrowing media: To borrow media, users need to register online at swisscovery/SLSP.

I have a library card and/or a digital (HSLU) ID card: When registering with swisscovery/SLSP, you can enter your library card number; for students and further education participants, this is usually already on file.
The library card is valid throughout Switzerland in all SLSP libraries.
Students and staff at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts can continue to use their existing HSLU Card as a library card. The HSLU Card does not need to be returned upon completion of studies or upon leaving the university, as it can still be used as a library card. The digital ID card expires upon completion of studies or upon leaving the university. Instead, an SLSP library card can be obtained free of charge from the library.
I do not have a library card and/or an HSLU ID card: Anyone who does not have a digital (HSLU) ID card or any other library card and opens a new library account with swisscovery will receive a library card free of charge at the library’s information desk.
Where can I manage my library card(s)?: Library cards can be managed here.
User account, change of address: Your online user account provides an overview of orders, reservations and loans with loan periods. Changes of address must be made by the user in the edu-ID account.
