The opera Alcina is reinterpreted with the approach of spatial boundary dissolution in the theatre space. The use of projection mapping unites the auditorium and the stage. A semi-transparent dome on the Lucerne City Theatre stage is intended to create a more immersive experience. The hybridisation of the theatre space unites performance, stage and auditorium. The mapped visuals pick up on the symbolic gender fluidity of nature. Mushroom mycelium and corals in the colours of the various queer flags point to a deviant social system, and the opening chorus of the opera Alcina was used as a prototype for the annual exhibition to be implemented and experienced on a small scale.
