Continuing Professional Development for Practice Teachers at Upper Secondary Level (Sekundarstufe II)

The continuing professional development programmes are aimed at subject teachers of Art and Design / Fine Art and address a range of thematic focuses. 

Each academic year, typically two to three calls for applications are launched. A key emphasis lies on active engagement with current positions in art education and on critically examining their relevance and applicability to teaching practice. In addition, subject-specific technical and didactic content is taught and discussed. An overarching aim is to strengthen exchange and dialogue between the university and teachers of Art and Design at upper secondary level. Practice teachers who supervise students in the Art Teaching Major also receive further information on the degree structure, particularly with regard to teaching placements.
