The TedQual Certification System is composed of a series of evaluation criteria that make it possible to measure the effectiveness of the pedagogical system as well as the extent to which the needs of the tourism sector, civil society, and students are covered. With this purpose, the certification examines six areas of analysis: the employers, the students, the curriculum and pedagogical system, the faculty, the management, and the accomplishment of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism. The certification is subject to periodic recertification and detailed audits, with the most recent audit taking place in July 2026.
"We are delighted that International Tourism Management Programme holds the UN Tourism Tedqual certification. It is a distinction we are proud of, as our programme is among only a small number of master's programmes in Europe to receive this recognition. It reflects the commitment to the continuous improvement of our programme, and to the principles of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism," - says Anna Para, Head of the MSc BA International Tourism Management Proramme
An important part of UN Tourism TedQual certification is the commitment to implementing and upholding the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism. In the Msc BA International Tourism Management Programme, we build on the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, which is reflected in our teaching — both directly, in modules such as Sustainability Management in Tourism and Events, and indirectly, by showing students how the principles of the Code translate into everyday practice in the tourism industry.
