The Lucerne School of Business is AACSB accredited. This association supports tertiary educational institutions around the world to continuously improve business education. Only 6% of the best business schools worldwide are accredited by AACSB.

The MSc in Banking and Finance has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the programme. This programme position students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become a highly respected and recognized investment credential in the world. The participation in the "CFA University Affiliation Program" underlines both the theoretical and practical focus of the MSc in Banking and Finance programme. Through participation in the University Affiliation Programme, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is eligible for a limited number of student scholarships for the CFA Programme each year.

Our programme is an academic partner of the CQF Institute. The CQF Institute is the awarding body for the Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF), the most renowned professional quantitative finance qualification.

According to the Financial Times Masters in Finance ranking, the Master of Science in Banking and Finance belonged to the world's top 65 finance study programmes in 2024. The ranking assesses various factors in the areas of students' employability and career opportunities, as well as the diversity and internationality of the programme. The MSc in Banking and Finance was ranked 57th. According to the FT, the programme was globally the best finance degree programme in terms of value for money.
