In our hectic everyday lives, our smartphones are always at the ready to fill any gaps with supposed activity. Moments of doing nothing have become rare. In the installation „Wait a Second“, however, doing nothing becomes an experience. The phygital installation, which was conceived for the „Nothing“ exhibition at the Museum of Communication, encourages visitors to consciously do nothing for a moment. During this period, her silhouette appears on a wall as if from nowhere. The longer you resist doing nothing, the longer the silhouette remains visible on the wall before disappearing into nothingness again. Doing nothing can thus be seen in a completely new light.
