This research project addresses two specific challenges:
1. Analysis of 2D as-built plans: The extraction of key metrics (e.g., areas, room usage, number of objects)
from 2D architectural plans is a fundamental but often manual step.
2. Generation of 2D schematics: The creation of 2D schematic diagrams (e.g., for plumbing or ventilation)
from detailed 3D MEP models is a complex abstraction process that is rarely automated
