Overview
In response to Postulate 20.3886 Roth, ‘Violence against people with disabilities in Switzerland’, the Federal Council has tasked the Federal Office for the Equality of People with Disabilities (EBGB) with developing, on the basis of the study ‘Ensuring low-threshold and barrier-free access to support services for people with disabilities’ (Krüger et al., 2022), to develop a tool that enables providers of social counselling services and bodies responsible for service planning to design their services in an accessible and barrier-free manner. The tool is intended to have a broad focus and to be aimed at providers of various types of social counselling services (social counselling, budget advice, victim support, etc.).
