Overview
The AQM study focuses on potential recycling routes for used textiles collected in Switzerland in the area of fiber-to-fiber recycling. Goods that are no longer wearable or usable can thus provide the basis for secondary raw materials.
The following questions were investigated:
- What is the landscape of possible fiber-to-fiber recycling companies for used textiles in Switzerland and nearby countries?
- Which fractions (clothing typology, product complexity, fiber type) can be expected for the used textiles collected in Switzerland?
- For which fractions are there possible recovery options within fiber-to-fiber recycling?
