DPI - Distinguishing Performance Indicators

A large building park is monitored via the energy management platform of MST Systemtechnik. Intelligent algorithms will be used to automatically monitor systems in terms of energy consumption. This leads to more efficient operation and thus to CO2-reduction.

Overview

The energy management platform of MST Systemtechnik AG is used to monitor the building technology systems of a large building park. Currently, this is done, with manually set limit values, monitored by staff (e.g. the maximum power consumption of a ventilation system). This is time-consuming, requires a lot of knowledge and is therefore not widely used today. In the future, it should therefore be possible to monitor systems automatically using intelligent algorithms. This will lead to more efficient operation and thus to CO2 savings, because thanks to automatic monitoring, as opposed to the current manual monitoring, limit values can be set for more systems and the limit values can be tightened. A tighter limit value leads to quicker detection of increased energy consumption, for example in the case of a clogged ventilation filter.
