Development of desublimation system (preliminary project)

Bucher Unipektin AG is specialised in vacuum and freeze drying, amongst others. In the course of a research project, a novel desublimation system for continuous and discontinuous drying processes is to be developed.

Overview

In this project, the technical-scientific fundamentals for the development of a continuous and discontinuous desublimation system are elaborated. With the development of the mathematical-scientific basics for the mass and heat transport in desublimation processes as well as the acquired knowledge about methods for the continuous regeneration of the desublimator, the foundation for a concept study is laid. After an evaluation of the variants, favoured concepts will be pursued further.
