Overview

St. Peter's Chapel is the oldest church of Lucerne and also an art site. The chapel is regularly hosting exhibitions and other events. Researchers of LUASA are investigating together with the team of the St. Peter's Chapel the role of virtual and augmented reality in such an institution.

In a first pilot project, we are creating a virtual version of the chapel. This enables the photography exhibition "Palacetine" to take place in the physical space of the chapel but also in virtual reality. A total of ten artists from Palastine and Switzerland are showcasing their works in two worlds - which creates new contexts.

The collaboration between St. Peter's Chapel and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts has the long-term goal of further exporing the rich possibilities of this approach.
