Overview

A truly attractive solution for the care industry needs to bring value in everyday life to ALL involved stakeholders. That means for the older people themselves, their relatives and their caregivers. Within CARU cares we aim to evaluate and further optimize such a multidimensional solution in three different end-user organizations in Switzerland, Austria and Belgium.

CARU facilitates the interaction between the stakeholders by being a modern communication tool (speaker phone and voice messages). Especially for the older person this means a higher level of social inclusion and for caregivers and relatives a relief of stress. CARU further provides relevant information about the behavior of the older person as it monitors room parameters and learns the normal routine from these. For relatives and caregivers, the uncertainty about the wellbeing of the older person can be reduced. This eventually leads to a larger autonomy for the older person.
