Exchange students planning to stay one or two semesters may book a room in one of the various student houses using the Mobility online tool.
Long-term students may consult the HSLU website for offers and send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our housing offer is exclusively aimed at students who are enrolled for a programme at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In exceptional cases and subject to availability, students of other institutions are accepted for tenancy.

Any damage to the flat and any repairs completed must be reported in writing to the property management or to a member of the building’s facility management.
In order to make the room available for another suitable student as quickly as possible, we kindly ask you to move out within the space of four months after your removal from the register of students.
Gerliswilstrasse: The minimum period of tenancy is six months
Seeburgstrasse: Furnished room: The minimum period of tenancy is six months / unfurnished rooms: open-ended, with customary dates of notice.
Universe9: HSLU contingency rooms: The minimum period of tenancy is six months
Zug-Rotkreuz Campus: Rooms at 18a/b minimum period of tenancy is six months / Rooms at Suurstoffi 12a: open-ended, with customary dates of notice.
Open-ended tenancy agreement may be terminated with three months’ notice for the move-out dates of 31 January or 31 July. The termination must be sent in writing to the house management. If the termination notice is submitted late (i.e. less than three months in advance), the next possible termination date applies.
Most of the rooms are furnished. Some premises (Seeburgstrasse, Universe9) only have unfurnished or partially furnished rooms.
The building management suggests a date for the handover, which must be confirmed by the tenant. Before the keys are returned, the property or facility management will inspect the room together with the tenant. Damage, insufficient cleaning, missing keys and furniture will be recorded in the inspection report and deduced from the tenant’s deposit.
Pets are not allowed in any of our properties.
There are no parking spaces for rent at our premises.
Exchange students and students with a fixed-term tenancy agreement are required to pay the rent for the full semester plus CHF 1,000. The deposit becomes due ten days after the tentative reservation documents have been received. Alternatively, tenant and property owner may agree to split the amount into two instalments.
Students with an open-ended tenancy agreement pay three months’ rent in advance (two as a deposit and one as a regular rent) ten days after the tentative reservation documents have been received. The rent is always due before the first of a given month.
Withdrawal before the tenant moves in results in a fee of CHF 150 to compensate for any expenses. Any banking fees are to be covered by the tenant.
Zug-Rotkreuz Campus and Universe 9, Horw Campus: Yes, there will be additional fees. All tenants pay an entry and exit fee of CHF 100 each. This fee will be deducted from the deposit after the tenant has oved out.
Zug-Rotkreuz Campus: In addition to the entry and exit fees, a monthly fee of CHF 3 applies for the disposal of the remaining household waste (glass, PET, tins, paper and cardboard must be taken to the public recycling points). Also, CHF 100 go towards the final cleaning of the flat. These fees apply in all of the properties managed by us. They are deducted from the deposit after the termination of the tenancy.
Yes. All rooms and communal spaces have internet. The user and sign-in data will be sent to you along with the tenancy agreement.
