English B2-C1 - Intercultural and English Competence Course

Ready to study in English.

Overview

The immediate aim of this course is to enable students to apply their English more competently in degree-course subjects. A further aim is to enable students to improve their intercultural communication in English. The topic of intercultural communication will be enhanced by the collaboration between participants from the various disciplines with overseas students.

The course includes personalized feedback on set writing tasks and a check-up on written standards. It then moves on to consider verbal and non-verbal elements in presentations and discussions.

This intensive course will be held in person. If attendance is not possible due to visa issues, a request can be made to the head of the module to attend online.

• Wednesday, 11 Sept. 2024, 8.30am – 4.30pm
• Thursday, 12 Sept. 2024, 8.30am – 4.30pm 
• Friday, 13 Sept. 2024, 8.30am – 12.00pm (including  exam)

There will be individual feedback sessions with each student.

Written exam (90 minutes) on the last day of the course. Active participation with regular attendance in class is expected.
