The Lucerne School of Social Work participates in eight European research networks. It makes its know-how available and at the same time benefits from that of other members.

COST Action IS1405: Building Intrapartum Reserach Through Health (BIRTH)

The proposed Action will advance scientific knowledge in this area from a whole-systems perspective, using the realist research framework of what works, for whom, in what circumstances. It will include five domains: Biomedicine, Biomechanics, Socio-cultural perspectives, Organizational perspectives and Neuro-psycho-social perspectives.

The international COST Training School is taking place in Switzerland from February 12th to 14th 2018. The Training School will focus on how Innovation can be implemented in practice through interdisciplinary research.

COST Action ISO907: Childbirth Cultures Concerns and Consequences

This Action will advance scientific knowledge about ways of improving maternity care provision and outcomes by examining what works, for who, in what circumstances, and by identifying and learning from the best. Bringing all maternity care in Europe up to the standard of the best is the ultimate aim of the Action.

Interreg Projekt PlurAlps

«Gemeinsam für einen lebenswerten Alpenraum» – so lautet das Motto des «Alpine Space Programme». Sieben Staaten beteiligen sich daran. Das Projekt PlurAlps ist Teil dieses Programms. Ziel des Schweizer Projektes (Leitung Peter Stade und Bea Durrer, Institut für Soziokulturelle Entwicklung) ist, im Oberwallis, Oberengadin, Berneroberland und in Obwalden gemeinsam mit Gemeinden/Kantonen, Arbeitgebenden und portugiesischen Organisationen Massnahmen zu entwickeln, um die in diesen Regionen lebenden und arbeitenden Portugies/innen besser zu erreichen und deren Integration gezielt zu fördern. Das Projekt wird über NRP Gelder sowie die beteiligten Kantone und Gemeinden finanziert.
