With 800 students attending its degree programmes and a further 1,000 or so following continuing education courses, the Lucerne School of Social Work is one of the largest educational establishments of its kind in Switzerland. Its teaching, research and development as well as its service projects are instrumental in promoting the development of the welfare sector and the professionalisation of social work.
