CURRENT INFORMATION ON THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS Due to the current pandemic situation, the entrance examinations are mainly held in distance format. The following basic settings apply to the individual degree programmes and profiles:
PreCollege, classical profile Bachelor of Arts in Music, Classical Music Bachelor of Arts in Music/Church Music Bachelor of Arts in Music/Wind Ensemble Conducting
Master of Arts in Music - Major Performance Classical Music - Major Orchestra - Major Chamber Music - Major Solo Performance - Major Conducting - Major Church Music
The entrance examinations are in distance format; videos must be sent at least 7 days before the examination date, a link for uploading will be sent separately; the examination interviews take place online as a live connection.
PreCollege, Jazz profile Bachelor of Arts in Music, Jazz Master of Arts in Music, Performance Jazz
The entrance examinations are in attendance OR distance format. The mode of execution can be freely chosen after registration. A change of this choice is only possible in justified cases and must be approved by the institute management. Irrespective of the choice of mode, all interested persons must send videos at the latest 7 days before the examination date (a corresponding link for uploading will be sent separately), to enable a short-term change from the attendance mode to the distance mode (in the case of quarantine obligation, for example). The videos will not be counted in the case of a face-to-face examination. The examination discussions in the distance format take place online as a live connection.

Master of Arts in Musikpädagogik - Major Instrumental/Vocal Pedagogy, Classical Music profile - Major Instrumental/Vocal Pedagogy, Jazz profile - Major School Music II - Major Music Theory
The entrance examinations for the Instrumental/Vocal Pedagogy major are based on the specifications of the respective major profile Classical Music (Institute for Classical and Sacred Music) or Jazz (Institute for Jazz and Folk Music). The entrance examinations for all other majors are in distance format; videos must be sent at least 7 days before the examination date (the deadline for the degree programmes "Music and Movement" and "School Music II" is 15 March 2021), a link for uploading will be sent separately; the examination interviews take place online as a live connection.
