The Bachelor of Arts in Music and Movement takes three years to complete. A total of 180 ECTS credits have to be earned.
Module description A (97 ECTS credits)
Modules whose contents are directly linked with an instrument and movement: core subject Music (Instrument/Vocal), core subject Movement, Piano Improvisation, Voice Training, Group Improvisation, Percussion, Dance and Choreography, Rhythmics, Ensemble/Workshop, Choir.
Module description B (33 ECTS credits)
Compulsory and required elective modules from the areas music teaching, music history and minor modules in music theory: Music and History, Music and Theory, Music and Computer, Music and Career.
Module description C (worth 45 ECTS credits)
The work related training incorporates group and class teaching in music and movement. Pedagogical psychology, specialised teaching and learning methods, methodology and the principles of rhythmics including an in-depth understanding of the development of the child and its relationship with music form the basis of the educational work from pre-school to the end of primary-school.
The specific modules are Pedagogy/Psychology, Teaching/Learning and Methodology for Music and Movement, Methodology of Rhythmics, Professional Experience, Improvisation, Voice Training, Methodology, practical project, degree project, study weeks, and the final-year thesis.
Module description D (5 ECTS credits)
The «shop window» of the Lucerne School of Music contains elective modules offered by all institutes of the Lucerne School of Music as well as modules offered by other Schools of the University.
