After three years of study, graduates are qualified to teach music and movement to children. Students at the Lucerne School of Music are able to choose between Classical, Jazz and Folk Music – a unique opportunitiy in the Swiss landscape of university-level education.
Modules such as Piano Improvisation, Voice Training, Percussion, Dance, Rhythmics or Ensemble/Workshop, Transdisciplinary Work, Psychology, Theory/Practice and professional experience supplement other courses in Instrumental/Vocal Teaching, Music Teaching and Music History.
Periods of work experience include group and class teaching in music and movement.
Pedagogical and teaching/learning course content gives students an in-depth understanding of child development and its relation to music.
The Bachelor of Arts in Music and Movement takes three years to complete. A total of 180 ECTS credits have to be earned.
