What to expect
The bachelor degree programme in Jazz focuses on the development and promotion of a personal musical idiom. The course blends together a theoretical knowledge and an appreciation of the history of music with care and precision.
The School has national and international links and maintains collaborative relationships with various jazz festivals in Switzerland and other well-known institutions. The School's own big band (musical director David Grottschreiber) presents a wide repertoire of classics from the big band genre, as well as contemporary material.
The bachelor's degree programme in Music, Jazz profile takes three years to complete and forms the basis for the MSc degree and its majors.
