The Master of Science in Engineering with the profil in Medical Engineering enables students to actively contribute to the advancement of Medical Engineering.

The program hones the students’ analytical and holistic thinking skills to perfection. It equips them with the tools to analyze the full breadth of market requirements within the sector, to contribute technical solutions and to act within the tightly regulated field of medical engineering. 
In the framework of this profil, you have the additional flexibility to work and conduct research in possible focal points such as Biomedical Engineering, Digital Health or Medical Diagnostics and Devices within your chosen area of interest.

Career Profile

As a consecutive degree program, the Master of Science in Engineering with specialization in Medical Engineering requires solid competences in Natural Sciences, Biology, Medicine and the existing regulatory framework. Applicants are also required to hold one of the Bachelor’s degrees listed below:

Applications by prospective students with a different academic background will be considered under certain conditions.

As a Medical Engineering graduate, you will have a wide range of career options, both in Switzerland and abroad.

As a Medical Engineering graduate, you will have a wide range of career options, both in Switzerland and abroad. You might take over the responsibility for tasks related to product development as well as product supervision or quality control. After a short period of time you will be able to accept a managerial function as line or project manager in a medical technology company. After your graduation from the Master of Science in Engineering you will also have the opportunity to found your own startup company.
