The Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture offers a variety of options for international alignment of the degree program:
English-language modules
Various engineering modules are available in English in technical degree programs. Selected modules in architecture and interior architecture can also be attended in English. In this way, specialist knowledge and language skills can be combined in a targeted manner.
Double specialisation and dual degree
In degree programs with several specialisations, students demonstrating a strong performance can, under certain conditions, complete a second specialisation and acquire a double specialisation. In the Business Engineering degree program, students also have the option of completing their third year of study at a partner university and obtaining a dual degree.
Studying abroad for a semester
Over 70 per cent of students take up the opportunity to spend a semester studying at a prestigious partner university abroad.
Practical projects, contacts with the professional world and applied learning lay important groundwork for starting a career afterwards. One example is Christoph Binkert, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering programme, who now works as Design & Build Team Leader at Pilatus Aircraft.
Motivated students have various ways of getting involved in addition to their regular degree program. As tutors or specialist coaches, they support fellow students while also strengthening their communication and management skills. With offerings such as the International Profile certificate, students can also focus on building up skills for an international working environment.
A degree program at the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture is about more than just teaching specialist knowledge. It combines academic thinking with practice, interdisciplinary collaboration and international perspectives. This creates skills that are in demand in an increasingly networked world of work.
The future arises where technology meets imagination, data meets design, buildings are linked to health, and people work together with machines. That’s our mission."
