Target group
The pre-admission course is primarily for people who have successfully completed an apprenticeship and have several years of work experience. The offer is not available for prospective students in Architecture, Interior Architecture and Digital Construction (Specialization in Architecture).
Admission requirements
The admission requirements are as follows:
- Candidates must have successfully completed an apprenticeship in a related field and at least three years of work experience.
- Requirements for international students: completed three-year training (or longer) at upper-secondary level and at least one year of work experience in a field associated with the chosen degree program.
- Candidates must be at least 25 years of age.
Process and organization
The subjects taught in the pre-admission course are Mathematics, Physics, German and English. Classes take place Mondays and Tuesdays from September to early June: the course spans two semesters. Admission to the bachelor’s program is granted upon successful completion of the entrance exam.
Course costs amount to about CHF 4'590.- including books and photocopies.

- Entrance exam for the bachelor’s program: June 2025
- Start of the bachelor’s program: Fall 2025
Admission to the consecutive bachelor’s program is determined “sur dossier” by the Head of Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs.
