Who doesn't enjoy a cold beer after work in good company?
Beer lovers in Switzerland enjoy a wide variety of beers with
different flavors and colors, produced by locally based
breweries. Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Unser Bier from the canton of Basel have
come up with an extraordinary beer. The yeast used in the
brewing process will be launched into space in April 2026 on a wild rocket flight
to an altitude of over 260 km.

personal name immortalized on our flight hardware. After the

The “Space Beer” is expected to be available for sale as a limited edition in the
summer of 2026. The proceeds from Space Beer will go towards research
under zero-gravity conditions at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
