About us Engineering and Architecture – where people and ideas meet!

The activities of the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture are organized into three areas covering its educational mandate. The School's focuses include research and development, as well as its two research meta-themes "Building as a System" and "Energy for the future".

Welcome from the Dean

Where people and ideas meet. The Dean of the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture is Viktor Sigrist. He heads the senior management of the school, which consists of the Head of Bachelor and Master, the Head of Research and the Head of Continuing Education.

Organization

The experts of the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture exercise their mandate in four distinct areas: education, continuing and executive education, research and development, and services. They apply their extensive skills and knowledge in nine institutes and fourteen competence centers.

Institutes

The Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture brings together exciting people and ideas in the fields of Engineering and Construction. The collaboration among the nine Institutes offers ideal conditions for interdisciplinary learning, research and development on the solution-centered path into the future.

Competence centers

With a reputation that extends beyond the country’s borders, the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture is a leading provider of applied research and development (R&D) in the field of construction and engineering. Its expertise is distributed in agile teams, which in turn are organised in thematic competence centres and research groups.
