PARTNER UP
The students develop a coordinatable design collection coloured in different colour worlds for a specific target group on a given theme. They work on the design themes digitally, according to the framework conditions of the partner company involved. In a customer presentation, the collection is exposed to the criteria of the market. The students discuss the economic impact of textile processes and products along the value chain and write short texts in English on current design topics.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
4 – Quality education/knowledge transfer.
8 – Decent work and economic growth, Unexplored market potential,
9 – Promote sustainable industrialisation, support innovation and resilient infrastructure.
Local Loops
The students learned the principles of the circular economy as well as sustainability frameworks. Through targeted research on a textile (or non-textile) topic of their own choosing, they gained knowledge about material properties, manufacturing processes, and usage and disposal practices. “They are empowered to use a speculative design approach to develop and justify concepts related to local value creation and the circular economy, and to visualize these concepts through prototyping.
(Through academic year 26/27)
IDENTITY IV
The students worked on a project of their own choosing that was appropriate for the module’s level, thereby developing the ability to manage and reflect on their development process and to communicate it effectively.
(Starting in the 27/28 academic year)
