The starting point of this work is the idea that expertise in weaving techniques can be applied to potentially find new applications for textile thinking in architecture. In this particular case the rationale behind the weave diagram and the fabric construction provide inspiration for a facade design. The ideas have been developed for a concrete project, namely a high-rise block in Sursee, CH planned by DEON AG. In dialogue with the architects, the designer was able to review and critically reappraise her ideas.
