Perspectives

The degree programme provides students with the artistic, technical and methodological qualifications needed for a wide range of professional fields in visual knowledge communication.

These include scientific illustration in areas such as archaeology, biology and medicine, visual didactics and educational media, exhibitions and museum interpretation, as well as the visualisation of reconstructions, processes and concepts.

Working practices are equally diverse: many graduates work independently, on a project basis, or in collaboration with research and educational institutions, museums, publishers and other organisations in the fields of knowledge and cultural communication. Different activities and collaborations often combine to form an individual professional practice.

A Bachelor's degree also qualifies graduates for a Master's degree in Art Teaching for Matura schools.

Alumni

Former students present their current work. The short interviews provide an insight into the wide variety of career paths and bear witness to the shared passion for illustration.
