Biography
Katharina Herzog focuses her practice on systemic learning and educational processes.
This involves designing the non-linear, network-like interplay of relationships, actions, and knowledge, thereby strengthening learning and regeneration. In 2021, she founded Studio Herzog, where she develops learning projects and strategies that embed systemic learning in companies, museums, associations and schools. Together with Impact Hub Zurich, she initiated the Community of Practice “Learning for Sustainable Development & Regeneration” and has been a board member of the Zweirad Celsius association since 2024.
Since 2022, Katharina has been teaching in the B.A. Design Management, International, covering systemic design, participatory processes, and learning in systems. Since 2025, she has been part of the strategic core team of the degree program. In addition, she has been teaching participation and co-design in the higher educational degree programs at the School of Design Bern and Biel since 2021.
Katharina studied B.A. Interaction Design and M.A. Communication Design in Magdeburg, Konstanz, and Zurich. Before becoming self-employed, she led projects in the field of knowledge transfer and digitisation as a designer in agencies and organisations in Berlin, Stuttgart, and Zurich.
