Health and Resilience Health and resilience as a source of an organisation's ability to renew itself

The working world is being changed profoundly by the ongoing digitalisation. Some rightly compare the impact of this change on the culture of work with that of the industrial revolution.

In this new working world, employees emancipate themselves into being “worker-entrepreneurs” who independently manage their own resources and plan their workdays according to their personal requirements and in a way that benefits their health and performance. Organisations must offer leadership to their employees on that path. They must be empowered to fulfil these new requirements by building the necessary skills (e.g., boundary management, self-management, resilience).

This is where our research and teaching activities come in. With our research projects, workshops and study programmes, we make a meaningful contribution towards preserving and improving our students’ health and resilience.

Projects

Investigation into the significance of boundary management for knowledge workers in a working world without boundaries.
This research project investigates how knowledge workers might use individualised boundary management techniques to fulfil the requirements of a digitalised and therefore boundary-less working world in a resource-friendly way.
