I like making technology better. You might know me from my greatest hits „We should test this with users“ and „Mock it up before you f... it up“ ;-)
I am specialised in customer-centered design and development - I have been doing this for almost 20 years and am still very passionate about building products that people love and managing teams to sustainably become more user-oriented.
I am not an Academic, I have studied and done a lot of further education. But I mainly learned user-centered design by doing:
Customer experience design across all digital and non-digital customer touch points - websites, mobile sites & apps, phone, social media, offline publications, contact centres incl IVR design
I am highly skilled in conducting and interpreting qualitative & quantitative market research methodologies like in depth interviews & contextual enquiries, usability tests, card sorts, focus groups, surveys, web analytics and applying these methodologies to test digital channels as well as offline services
I have managed teams of designers and developers, including offshore teams (closely worked with teams in China and India) and near-shore (Europe) The more complex the problem, the more excited I get about helping you solve it. -> Intranet spread over 20 different CMS and needing to talk to 150 applications? I am in! -> Medical device where we need to make sure people use it the way it is intended - and not the way their overworked minds want to use it? Let’s work on it. -> Public service that needs to serve every single edge case yet streamline the process for what 80% do? Challenge accepted!
