The Master in Film at the Lucerne School of Art and Design focuses on animation and on mainly documentary cinematic forms in the age of the Internet and digital displays. Students learn to work conceptionally and contextually on the interfaces between story development, cross-platform storytelling, animation techniques, motion graphics, experimental film and art. As filmmakers and scriptwriters trained in the skills of today, they can independently position themselves in a rapidly evolving vocational field.
The study programme is highly individualized and the students are closely guided by the experts in our team. Independent learning and both the ability and willingness to autonomously develop their own master project is a prerequisite to engage in our programme. Lateral entrants are welcome to study with us if they can pass an aptitude test.
The degree programme in Film usually extends over four semesters but may be completed in three years of part-time study.
