The Institute of Architecture focuses on forward-looking and practice-oriented education that is at the cutting edge of contemporary architecture in Switzerland. It is internationally networked with the most renowned universities.
What kind of spaces do we want to live in? How do these embed themselves in the environment? Students learn to plan, build and renew different living spaces and to master cultural, ecological and economic challenges.
The new interdisciplinary degree programme offers students the unique opportunity to acquire a future-oriented specialization in procedural and digital skills in the fields of architecture, civil engineering and building technology.
The internationally oriented, bilingual Master’s program enables students to take their own stance in the crossroads between typology, technology and context. Special attention is given to scientific work and writing.
The continuing education courses impart broad knowledge of methods and processes. The lectures help students build up professional expertise and deal with current and future in-demand topics related to overall responsibility in building culture.
The competence center researches the interaction between humans and the built environment. The strategic transformation of buildings and neighborhoods is at the center of the scientific work.
Die Fachgruppe für die Erhaltung von Bauwerken (FEB) des SIA schreibt alljährlich die FEB Auszeichnung aus. 2023 vergab die Jury drei Preise und drei Anerkennungen mit einem Gesamtpreisgeld von Fr. 4500.- Unsere Studierenden Bianca Bahini und Alex Hammer gewannen einen Preis und eine Anerkennung.
Die Berufsgruppe Architektur des SIA verleiht in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Architekturrat der Schweiz den Preis für die besten Masterarbeiten im Bereich Architektur. Alle Schweizer Hoch- und Fachhochschulen mit einem Masterstudiengang in Architektur stellen in diesem Wettbewerb ihre besten Projekte vor. 2022 erhielt einer unserer Studenten eine Anerkennung, 2023 wurden zwei Arbeiten von Studentinnen der HSLU mit einer Anerkennung ausgezeichnet.
