Doctoral colloquia at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts foster the exchange of knowledge between the various disciplines and bring together doctoral candidates and employees working towards a doctorate from all Schools to conduct joint workshops.
These meetings establish a common research and discourse culture across Schools and disciplines. Practical support for doctoral candidates, for instance through coaching and by providing continuing education in epistemology and methodology as well as networking opportunities between lecturers are at the heart of the programme.
With this programme, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts makes the fostering and qualification of its academic talent a core objective of its strategy and it recognises the significance of young researchers for a university of applied sciences with a research and education focus. It aims to create an ideal environment for future researchers, enabling them to realise their ideas and providing opportunities to start an academic career in applied and fundamental research.
