CAS fee
The fee includes the direct costs of the CAS programme including course materials and examination fees. It does not cover the costs for specialist literature, accommodation, and expenses. The fee will be invoiced in full once it is confirmed that the CAS program will be delivered.
Withdrawal of registration must be communicated in writing. If a participant withdraws from a confirmed enrollment up to two months before the start of the programme, he or she will be charged a cancellation fee of CHF 500. Depending on the number of modules to be retaken, CHF 300 or CHF 500 will be charged in the case of exam retakes.
If the CAS program is terminated early or a confirmed registration withdrawn within two months before the start of the program, the full course fee remains due.
The HSLU recommends prospective course participants take out cancellation insurance. It is available from a range of insurance providers.
SAS fee
The fee includes the direct costs of the SAS program including course materials and exam fees. It does not cover the costs for specialist literature, accommodation, and expenses. The fee will be invoiced in full once it is confirmed that the SAS program will be delivered.
Withdrawal of registration must be communicated in writing. If a participant withdraws from a confirmed enrollment up to two weeks before the start of the program, 50% of the course fee will remain due. If the SAS program is terminated early or a confirmed registration withdrawn within two weeks before the start of the program, the full fee for the program remains due.

Rescheduling of CAS and SAS programmes
In the event of insufficient registrations, the head of programme has the right to reschedule a continuing or executive education programme. Registered participants will be notified shortly after the registration deadline. If a participant withdraws his or her registration after a continuing and executive education programme has been rescheduled, the course fees will be waived.
DAS fee
The fee includes the direct costs of the DAS programme, including certification.
An invoice for the full amount will be issued upon receipt of the participant’s registration. Participants wishing to withdraw from their registration after admission has been confirmed, or terminate the DAS thesis early, must communicate this in writing.
If a participant withdraws before the start of the DAS thesis, an inconvenience fee of CHF 500 will be charged.
MAS fee
The fee includes the direct costs of the MAS programme and the certification.
An invoice for the full amount will be issued upon receipt of the participant’s registration. Participants wishing to withdraw from their registration after admission has been confirmed, or terminate the MAS thesis early, must communicate this in writing.
If a participant withdraws before the start of the MAS thesis, an inconvenience fee of CHF 500 will be charged.
Digital Instruction
Copyright, personality rights and the right to one's own image also apply online. Written materials, videos, and other course materials published on ILIAS and/or shown in online meetings must not be shared with third parties. Online meetings must not be recorded without the prior express consent of all participants.
Theft insurance (Property Insurance - Electronic Equipment)
The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and its Schools provide no insurance coverage for the damage, destruction or loss of electronic equipment (e.g. Laptops, digital cameras, storage devices or similar) owned by participants. It is therefore the participants’ responsibility to take out insurance for this kind of occurrence
Liability Insurance
Students undertake to comply with the internal order, health and safety regulations of the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology. Participants are responsible for taking out liability insurance. The Lucerne School of Information Technology accepts no liability of any kind.
Data protection guidelines
1. Use of personal data
§1 The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology conforms to the relevant data protection legislation.
§2 By signing the application form, you consent to the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology processing and/or linking your personal data (e.g., first name, surname, ECTS credits, continuing or executive education programme, etc.) and photos for the purposes of planning, organization, evaluation, funding, statistics, information, continuing education counseling, in-house learning platforms and grade distribution. This includes the transmission of the necessary data to the Federal Statistical Office and the publication of your first and last names after successful graduation.
§3 With your binding registration, you consent to HSLU Alumni sending you relevant information about joining the network once you have successfully completed your continuing or executive education programme. If you do not wish for HSLU Alumni to contact you, please notify the HSLU by email: (info@alumnihslu.ch).
2. Use of third-party services
By using services offered by third parties such as Campus Sport, the participant agrees to his or her data being processed by the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology to administer these services. Only data provided voluntarily by the student as part of the registration process will be shared with third parties. However, it cannot be ruled out that data may be seen by third parties while being transferred.
Legal grounds
The continuing and executive education programmss are delivered in accordance with the rules and regulations in force at the time of their commencement. The School expressly reserves the right to make changes and/or amendments to existing rules and regulations and to bring into force new rules and regulations during the delivery of the continuing or executive education programme. All participants are required to comply with them as they come into force. The rules and regulations are available online or on request from the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology (administration).
Final provisions
In all other respects, the legislations of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts apply, most notably the Academic Ordinance Governing Continuing and Executive Education Programmes at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, FH Zentralschweiz, and the Acedamic Regulations Governing Continuing and Executive Education Programs at the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology.
