The module provides insights into German live, culture and politics now more deepend and covers topics related to life as a student.
German – both engineering and romance.
This course is aimed at students for whom German is not their first language and whose command of German has reached level A1. Students can make themselves understood in routine situations involving direct exchanges of information concerning familiar and commonplace things. Students can describe terms where they come from, their education and training, the immediate surroundings and things in connection with immediate needs.
Takes place during autumn and spring semester. Next start: Autumn semester 2020.

The work involved in this module is equivalent to that of a 3 ECTS credit-module. The Schools attended by the students shall decide on the awarding of the 3 credits. The students must check with their respective Schools to find out what their policy is.
The following applies to the School of Engineering and Architecture: students from abroad (incoming students) and students in an English course of studies receive credits. For all other students it is a supplementary module without credits.
Eligibility is extended to all students enrolled in the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Provided places are available, admission is also open to staff and external persons (fee required).
None. The course is only suitable for beginners without any knowledge of German.
A2 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR.
