Public events focus on data trends as observed in business, societal and cultural settings. They are designed for a broad specialist audience and for interested members of the public.
Specialist events focus on specific topics relating to data and aim to connect experts from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with external partners in research and the applied fields.
A hackathon is a collaborative event on a particular topic during which participants develop creative uses of data in the course of two to three days. The results are meant to provide not only an economic benefit but also a contribution as seen from a political, artistic and social perspective. The first hackathon already has been scheduled at the Campus in Rotkreuz in Spring 2016 – provisionally on the topic of Energy.
