Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah is an artist and photographer based in Lucerne. From 2009 – 2015 she studied Media Art and Design at the University of Arts and Design Saar in Saarbrücken (diploma degree).
As an artist she exhibited her work in several show in throughout Germany, France and Luxembourg. Fascinated by the perception of time consciousness and body related experience, Akosua mainly works with performative photography. She focusses on aesthetic behavior and the immediate act of decision making. This results in images (self portraits) that convey multiple atmospheric evidence. These projects question the construction of identity and the self.
In Summer 2016 Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah joined Camera Arts as Artistic Assistant. Her responsibilities include programme organisation, photographic media and digital projects as well as student support.
Besides her artistic career Akosua is an endurance horse rider. On international competition level she participates in endurance races and trains endurance horses.
