Acquisition of properties covers strategic infrastructure planning in association with the Executive Board and the five cantons, conducting requirement analyses, developing usage concepts, and searching for and acquiring premises. The Facility Management department also administers the rental contracts of all the sites and supervises conversion, refurbishment and new-build works from the phase of budgeting to completion.
When it comes to room administration, the department assumes a coordinating role. It works with the Schools to develop concepts for the use, administration and letting of rooms and equipment and their marketing.
The Facility Services operates and maintains the buildings, green spaces, vehicles and technical facilities of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and ensures that the organisation functions smoothly in terms of its infrastructure, technical facilities, logistics and cleaning.
