Entrance examinations

PreCollege and promotion of young talent Well prepared for the bachelor's degree entrance examination!

The preliminary studies and the foundation course provide an excellent grounding in the skills required to pass the entrance examination for the bachelor's degree programmes offered by the Lucerne School of Music or other music colleges. Preparatory training is offered in the classical music and jazz profiles and is suitable for school students looking to specialise in conducting, folk music, composition or school music.

Entrance examinations

These courses are not mandatory for the bachelor's degree entrance examination, but they are recommended by way of optimal preparation.

The Lucerne School of Music also offers other preparatory courses (Theory and Ensemble), which offer preparation for a bachelor's entrance examination.

Preparatory studies

This nine-month course is for school-leavers wishing to prepare for the bachelor's degree entrance examination of the following year.

Theory teaching.

Foundation course

Generally speaking, this course is aimed at young people still at school, who wish to take their time preparing for the bachelor's entrance examination. The foundation course takes three years to complete.
