This master's degree programme can be taken in either Classical or Jazz subject areas and offers a choice of three majors.
- The major in Instrumental/Voice Pedagogy qualifies graduates to teach at music and secondary schools or as a freelancer.
- The major in School Music II leads – in parallel with studying towards the teaching diploma for baccalaureate schools – to a professional qualification for teaching at School Music II level at secondary schools etc. (see also School Music II).
- The major in Music Theory qualifies graduates to teach music theory at universities and music colleges (see also music theory).
The majors can also all be combined with each other. Theoretical and practical teaching and learning are linked to the expression of advanced artistic competency – this represents an ideal preparation for all aspects of a student's professional life.
