They are familiar with the conditions and circumstances of orchestral work and possess all the artistic, technical and social skills required for a life in this profession. During their studies and after successfully completing a period of training, students get to play in one of the professional partner orchestras of the Lucerne School of Music.
Graduates of this master's degree possess a recognisable musical and artistic identity on their main instrument. Their expressiveness is highly developed. They are familiar with the solo repertoire, in particular that required for orchestral auditions. They have also mastered the main orchestral passages at a technical and musical level.
Depending on the student's main subject, interests and academic record, tuition is offered in one or more variations, for example a second instrument.
