The Master of Arts/Conducting enables graduates to assume the role of conductor on the national and international concert, opera and wind music circuit.
After completing their studies, graduates of the Master of Arts/Conducting (orchestral conducting variant) possess the artistic, technical and social skills required to conduct professional and semi-professional orchestras. The Master of Arts/Conducting (choral conducting variant) enables graduates to work with professional and semi-professional vocal ensembles and to direct choral productions at a national and international level. The Master of Arts/Conducting (wind music conducting variant) enables graduates to work with professional wind orchestras / brass bands at a national and international level.
In the field of conducting, the Lucerne School of Music collaborates with the Festival Strings Lucerne, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Lucerne Theatre and the Ensemble Corund, amongst others.
