The jazz ensemble (musical director David Grottschreiber) is practised in a wide repertoire from traditional to contemporary Big-Band standards. Alongside concerts at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the ensemble performs annual concerts featuring a guest conductor at the KKL Luzern as well as at Unerhört! Zurich jazz festival and at the Musiktage Stans. The ensemble is also given the task of rehearsing, recording and performing the premieres of works by students taking the major in Composition.
